JOHN, YOUR PAINTINGS: 'CORNER', KITCHEN 1, AND 'KITCHEN 2' ARE WONDERFUL! YOU'VE TURNED BORING FLOORING,AND WOODWORKING INTO SOMETHING VERY CAPTIVATING TO LOOK AT. IT REMINDS ME OF SOMETHING OUT OF 'ALICE IN WONDERLAND'. SOMETHING YOU MIGHT SEE ONCE YOU WENT DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE! KEEP EXPANDING, YOU CAN PAINT ANYTHING AND MAKE IT LOOK SPECIAL!

IT IS AMAZING THAT YOU COULD PAINT ALL THAT TEXTURE IN TO YOUR "KITCHEN 1", AND "KITCHEN 2" PAINTINGS. HOW YOU SO EFFECTIVELY PUT THE DARK COLOR IN THE WHITE TILE, AND THE LIGHT COLORS IN TO THE BLACK TILE, AND WOODWORKING, IS INCREDIBLE. THE PAINTINGS ALMOST LOOK LIKE PHOTOGRAPHS.

John,
Very nice drawing - rich, textural and evocative.
The checker-board floor reminds me of an example done by James Gurney, were in he demonstrated that the light falling on a surface has much more effect than we think, and often times more than local color.
